Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a confessional Lutheran church that is part of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.

We hold to the doctrine of the Trinity, as fully defined by the three ecumenical creeds.
  • the Father, creator of all that exists;
  • Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and
  • the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and Sacraments.

We believe that mankind is made in the image of God as male and female, that mankind fell into sin, and that because of this we are all born sinful and require God’s salvation.

We believe that to save us from our sinful condition, God became a man, died for our sins, was raised from the dead, and through his life, death, and resurrection has forgiven our sins and now saves us from sin, death, and the devil.

As Lutherans, we believe:
  • Salvation comes unearned and undeserved from the grace of God through our faith in Jesus Christ, who calls us to faithful and loving service to God and to one another.
  • The grace of God is given to us as a gift that we receive through Word and Sacrament.
  • All of our rules, norms, and doctrines are subject to the Word of God as found in the Holy Scriptures, which we hold to be inerrant and infallible.
